Tuia te kawe tairanga te kawe oi te kawe o te haere
The proverb invokes a unison of us, like an out stretched sash swaying with the
gait of one walk as we move forward towards a new horizon and to our Parihaka 2010
festival event.

Volunteering at Parihaka
Our system of volunteering requires that those interested will purchase their festival
ticket and work the required hours as directed. Full reimbursement of the cost of
the ticket will be made into your nominated New Zealand bank account.
If you would like to volunteer to work during our 2010 event
-
Purchase your three day pass
-
At the ticketing gate, tell the staff you intend applying for a volunteer position
and they will issue you with a receipt
-
Make your way to the Volunteer office and register your interest. If positions
are available you will be expected to work five (5) hours per day OR a total of
fifteen (15) hours during the event (This will be pre-arranged with the Manager
you are assigned to)
What you should know:
-
If you arrive at Parihaka before the 7th of January, make your way to Te Paepae
meeting house where you can register your interest to volunteer
-
Parihaka does not provide meals or accommodation
-
All decisions concerning volunteer roles, duties and reimbursement belong to the
