For all visitors who wish to stay for one day only – except Sunday. To purchase a day pass you are asked to:

  • The period of a one-day pass is 12 hours only
  • Reimbursement of funds is not paid in cash but is direct credited into a nominated New Zealand bank account
  • Credit Cards and Bank Card Numbers are not accepted
  • Credit will appear in the account after 8pm on Monday the 11th of Jan 2010
  • Wristbands will be retained for validation
  • Not available for complimentary tickets [proof of purchase must be provided]

The ONLINE TICKETS SECTION of this website OR at the Gate (costs more at the gate though!)

WHAT if I don’t have a CREDIT CARD?

Disposable visa credit cards are available from NZ Post – called a prezzy card, these are ideal.

WHERE can we stay?

Parihaka have campgrounds with toilets & hot water showers for you or you can visit www.taranaki.co.nz for other options

WHEN do the gates open to the public?

Thursday 7th January after 5pm

WHAT TIME do the Gates Close?

The Gates will close at 9pm on Sunday evening. Entry will not be permitted after this time.

When does the event BEGIN and END

Our event begins on FRIDAY the 8th of January after 3.00pm and ends sometime after Midnight on SUNDAY the 10th January

Is there Day PARKING?

Yes

Is EFTPOS available onsite?

Yes, please ask at the gate

Is there cell phone COVERAGE?

Yes, but you may have to hike up the nearest lahar!

Can I CHARGE my cell phone?

Yes, at the information centre for a small fee.

WHEN is the OPENING ceremony?

FRIDAY 8th of January at approximately 12noon

WHEN is the CLOSING ceremony?

MONDAY the 11th of January at approximately 10am

Is there any PUBLIC TRANSPORT to Parihaka

Unfortunately, No

WHAT shall I bring?

Sun hats and shade for the hot days and warm clothing for the evenings.
AND Maybe ID just in case you are asked ;)

Can I bring my own FOOD and DRINK?

Yes. But please, leave your glass containers at home

Once my campsite is established am I able to LEAVE THE SITE area to go shopping, SURFING or visiting other areas?

Yes, you are free to leave Parihaka at any time, but re-entry of your vehicle may not always be possible and you may be directed to park in the ‘day-parking’ area.

Can I buy ALCOHOL at Parihaka?

No, But we do allow you to bring your own – reasonable amounts & Strictly NO Glass. ID may be requested. We are asking for a KOHA from people who bring alcohol to help with the cleanup and recycling. Please enquire at the gate.

What shall I LEAVE at home?

All Pets and Glass
